Indiana Jones and the and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Acabei de ver pela primeira vez o 4º filme da saga do Indiana Jones e gostei. Curiosa, procurei na internet saber qual a reacção das pessoas na altura da sua estreia. Acho que a definição que melhor define o filme é: "it works but doesn´t shine".
I´ve just seen for the firt time the 4th Indy Jones movie. I like it. It´s fun. What did others thought about it? I went to the internet to find it out. The best definition I found is: "it works but doesn´t shine".

Por volta da altura da rodagem, achei por bem inaugurar este blogue com as melhores cenas da saga. O facto dos trechos dos filmes terem sido removidos do youtube por "violação" dos direitos de autor foi algo que não desceu bem pela garganta. Mas se eles querem assim, que seja.
By the time they were about to shoot it, I thought right to open this blog with the best scenes of the Indy Saga. They were, a few time after, deleted by youtube, because of "violation rights". Yap! What ever...

Esse episódio meio que apagou um pouco a vontade que estava a reservar para ver o 4º filme. A publicidade bem pensada também não ajudou. Gosto de filmes mas quando à algo demasiado comercial e proveitoso à volta da divulgação, fico sem vontade. Deve ser a sensação de estarem a querer influenciar a minha vontade...
That kind of turn me off the all enchanting magic of it but now, opportunity came with the TVCine Channels and so, I went to see a very admired actor like Harrison Ford and the very best women character I enjoyed in this saga: Marian.

Uns anos antes (não tão poucos assim), surgiu um desafio mundial lançado sobre a saga: pediram aos fãs (internautas) para desenvolver um bom enredo para a sequela. Um desafio irresistível, ao qual não pretendia resistir. Ainda que soubesse que, se alguma ideia fosse aproveitada, nunca o saberia ou teria como saber... fica aquela mínima sensação do "se calhar"...
A few years ago (not so few, actually) there was a universal chalenge where you were asked to come up with a plot to the sequel. Of course, I found it irresistible. But I knew that, if some of my ideias came to be, I would never know it, because there will be no recognition of it. That was the point. Still, a irresistible chalendge. Maybe...

Por acaso, ou não, ou talvez muitos tenham tido a mesma ideia, a principal história que liga aquelas personagens todas foi exactamente o que sugeri no meu imaginado enredo. Um filho de Indiana com Marian, para poder dar continuidade à saga e deixar Harrison Ford viver o seu Indy como um dia Sean Connery viveu o seu: como sénior!
Coincidence or not, maybe lots of people had the same concept ideia, the main plot that keeped those characters united, was exacly what came to be. A son to Indy, with Marion has the mother, so that him came to be the one having future adventures and Harrison could now acept the role once given to Sean Connery: Indiana Sénior!

Mas este filme, embora divertido e que chegou ao fim deixando um sorriso nos meus lábios, peca por falta de carisma da sua jovem adicção. LaBeouf pode ser o menino dourado do momento, mas não lhe vejo graça alguma. Falta-lhe o carisma que, um dia, foi encontrado em River Phoenix. Uma tragédia, este jovem que chegou a ser o Indiana quando jovem, morrer com tanto por mostrar!
Althoug it´s a fun movie, that left me with a smile on my lips, it doesn´t gets there. I know back in the USA LaBeouf is (was) it, but I just can´t find carisma in him. Of course the 3rd Indiana movie was the best. It had the one that should had come to be Ford´s sucessor on this movies: River Phoenix. A chame... to be dead with somuch to deliver!

Então passa-se o seguinte: Este é o 3º melhor filme da saga. Pior que o 2º não poderia ser. Dificilmente o filme Indiana Jones e o Templo Perdido perde essa posição. Afinal, revê-lo sonoramente na Tv foi uma tortura. Aquela mulher só sabe gritar! - disse a minha avó, e muito bem. Só apetece desligar a televisão.
This is the 3rd best movie of them all. It couldn´t be worse that the second one. That Temple of Doom would not loose that position that easly. Re-ear it on tv with this saga sequence exibition, was painfull. That women doesn´t stops screamming! - replyed my groundmom, with reason. What an anoing performance!

A actriz escolhida para o papel de vilã também não brilha por aí além. É um erro apostar no tipo "toda boa", e mais ainda quando lhe colocam uma peruca escura! Não tem destaque como se fosse um vilão parecido ao primeiro, que teve o rosto derretido como se fosse cera!
The enemy to be a woman is also some kind of desapointment. Good looking ex or actual models or something like it, doesn´t work. Specially a blond with a dark visible wig! Sorry... wasn´t catchy. A grate vilon like the first one that has his face dissolved was the way.

Quanto ao tema dos Ets, nem sei o que dizer. Não está mal escolhido porém, não brilha por aí além. Ainda bem que o Lucas (George) não levou a dele avante e tornou essa parte da história mais extensa. Afinal, uma coisa é o pretexto, outra é a aventura! O pretexto foi bem conseguido... um artefacto do outro mundo!
The ET theme it´s not bad, but it doesn´t sparckle that much. I´m glad Lucas (George) didn´t got his way and turn this story pretext more extensive. After all, that is just the theme, the adventures are what people wants to see. But is ok.

Discordo com um amigo que me contou achar o filme horrível e achou que as cenas de acção de Harrison Ford não eram credíveis. A maioria das cenas de acção física foram feitas pela personagem mais jovem (pular nas lianas com os macacos, a luta de espada com um pé em cada automóvel em movimento). Harrison teve cuidado e manteve esse aspecto do filme como ele gosta: credível. Por exemplo, não o vimos em cima do camião nem a chutar o condutor para fora. Esse gesto foi "representado" por Marion e Mutt, na parte de trás da viatura. Como já vimos Harrison Ford a fazê-lo, acreditamos até que o vimos voltar a fazer!
I desagree with a friend that told me he though the movie to be horrible and found Harrison´s performance not credible. No way! Most of the stunt performances where made by the young character (jumping withthe mankies on the roapes, sward fighting with one leg in itch moving car, etc). Ford made a believable fisical acting performance, with some action sequences not actually shot, like him going up the movie car and jump into the drivers way and kick him off. We´d seen it before and so we can believe it!
